The terms "health preservation" and "healthy lifestyle" are frequently found in national development programs of modern states. Health preservation concepts are popular in fields such as psychology, sociology, and economics. Self-care has expanded beyond basic care. Consumers are no longer viewing spending on good health as a luxury or optional, but rather as essential for increasing life expectancy and improving mental resilience. The wellness economy is adapting to new challenges in consumer behavior, developing new business formats in the field of public health. All activities that generate income for the wellness economy contribute to increasing people's responsibility for their health and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The terms "health preservation" and "healthy lifestyle" are frequently found in national development programs of modern states. Health preservation concepts are popular in fields such as psychology, sociology, and economics. Self-care has expanded beyond basic care. Consumers are no longer viewing spending on good health as a luxury or optional, but rather as essential for increasing life expectancy and improving mental resilience. The wellness economy is adapting to new challenges in consumer behavior, developing new business formats in the field of public health. All activities that generate income for the wellness economy contribute to increasing people's responsibility for their health and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The production of products and the provision of services should have not only an economic benefit but also a social component that promotes public health. This review presents the opinions of domestic and international experts—doctors, economists, managers, sociologists, and psychologists—on the development of new approaches in public health and reorienting modern consumers toward a healthy lifestyle, stimulating the emergence of new business ideas, and the implementation of innovations and health-preserving technologies. New areas of activity that promote wellness have the potential to expand the scope of scientific and clinical research dedicated to health preservation.

В национальных программах развития современных государств часто встречается термины, «здоровьесбережение», «здоровый образ жизни». Концепции здоровьесбережения являются популярными в таких областях как психология, социология и экономика. Забота о себе вышла за рамки базового ухода. Потребители перестают рассматривать расходы на хорошее здоровье как роскошь или необязательные, и рассматривают их как необходимые для увеличения продолжительности жизни и улучшения психической устойчивости. Велнес-экономика перестраивается под новые вызовы потребительского поведения, формирует новые бизнес форматы в сфере общественного здоровья. Все направления деятельности, обеспечивающие доход велнес-экономики, способствуют повышению ответственности людей за свое здоровье, пропаганде здорового образа жизни. Производство продуктов и предложение услуг должны иметь не только экономическую выгоду, но социальную составляющую, способствующую здоровье сбережению населения.

В обзоре представлены мнения отечественных и зарубежных специалистов: врачей, экономистов, менеджеров, социологов, психологов о развитии новых подходов в общественном здравоохранении и переориентации современных потребителей на здоровый образ жизни, на стимулирование к появлению новых бизнес-идей, внедрению инноваций и здоровьесберегающих технологий. Новые сферы деятельности, способствующие оздоровлению, способны расширить сферу научных и клинических исследований, посвященных сохранению здоровья.
